Referral & Creator Program Terms
Last updated: August 18, 2026
These terms govern participation in the two ways ORION pays people for bringing others to it: the customer referral program (account credit, open to every account holder) and the creator program (cash commission on sales through a creator's own code). Both are run by Orion Tweaks LLC, a limited liability company formed on August 14, 2026 under the laws of the State of Georgia, United States. They apply in addition to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy; where they conflict on a point about a program, these terms win for that point.
If you are paid to promote ORION, say so
Money, credit, a free or discounted plan and commission are all material connections under the US Federal Trade Commission's endorsement rules. Every post, video, stream, comment or review promoting ORION with your link or code must carry a clear and conspicuous disclosure of that connection, in the same place a viewer sees the recommendation. Exactly what that means. Failing to disclose ends your participation and forfeits unpaid rewards.
1. The two programs
| Customer referral | Creator program | |
|---|---|---|
| Who | Any ORION account holder, free or paid | Content creators accepted by application, at our discretion |
| What you share | Your personal referral link | Your own coupon code, which also gives your audience 10% off |
| What you earn | $10 in ORION account credit per qualifying upgrade | 20% of what the customer actually pays on a subscription, first payment and renewals; 10% on a Lifetime purchase |
| Limits | No cap on the number of referrals | Commission is paid on at most 12 payments per subscription, counted per Stripe subscription |
| How it is paid | Credit on your account, redeemable for a discount code against your own next purchase or renewal | Cash, paid monthly out of band once the threshold in section 6 is met |
Rates and reward amounts are the ones in force when the qualifying payment happens. We may change them for the future under section 9; a change never reduces a reward already earned.
2. Eligibility
- You must have an ORION account in good standing, and be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live, to earn or receive a reward. Participation is a contract, so the capacity rules in Terms of Service section 13 apply.
- You must be able to receive the reward lawfully where you live. We do not pay into jurisdictions subject to sanctions or export restrictions that prohibit it.
- Creator participation is by application and at our discretion. We may decline or end it without giving reasons, subject to paying anything properly earned before that point.
- Orion Tweaks LLC's members, staff and contractors may not earn referral or creator rewards on their own or connected accounts.
- Nothing here makes you an employee, agent, partner or joint venturer of Orion Tweaks LLC. You are an independent participant, you speak for yourself and not for us, and you may not make commitments on our behalf.
3. Attribution: when a referral counts
- Customer referral. A referral is attributed when the person you referred arrives through your link and we are allowed to store the code in their browser - we ask their permission first, and if they decline, nothing is stored and no attribution is possible. The stored code lasts 90 days. If they upgrade to a paid plan in that window, the reward is credited to you.
- Creator program. Attribution is by the coupon code the customer types at checkout, so it does not depend on browser storage at all. The sale is attributed to whichever code was actually applied to that payment.
- Last touch wins. Where more than one code could apply, the one recorded against the payment is the one that counts. Rewards are not split.
- One reward per referred customer. A second conversion for the same buyer on the same code does not pay twice; it is flagged for review instead.
- Free sign-ups, trial accounts and plan changes that involve no new payment earn nothing.
4. Refunds, cancellations and chargebacks
A reward is earned on a payment that sticks. If the payment behind a reward is refunded, withdrawn under a right of withdrawal, charged back, or reversed for any other reason:
- the corresponding referral credit or commission is reversed, and deducted from your unpaid balance;
- if it has already been paid out or redeemed, we may deduct it from your next payout, or ask you to repay it where there is no future payout to net it against;
- a subscription that is cancelled simply stops earning further commission from the next unbilled period - already-earned commission on payments that stuck is not clawed back.
Because refunds and chargebacks can arrive late, we hold newly earned creator commission for 30 days before it becomes payable. Referral credit is available to redeem sooner but is subject to the same reversal.
5. Fraud, self-referral and prohibited promotion
These rules exist so that the money goes to people who genuinely brought a customer. Breaking any of them lets us withhold or reverse rewards, close the account, and end participation.
- No self-referral. You may not use your own link or code for your own purchase, or route it through a second account, a family member's account, or an account you control. The system already refuses to credit a purchase made by the code's owner.
- No incentivised or fake conversions. No paying people to buy through your link, no buying and refunding to farm rewards, no fabricated accounts.
- No spam. No unsolicited email or DMs, no comment spam, no posting your link where the venue's rules forbid it, and no automated posting. Comply with CAN-SPAM and equivalent local rules for anything you send.
- No paid search on our brand. Do not bid on “ORION Tweaks”, our product names, or close variants, and do not run ads that could be mistaken for our own.
- No misleading claims. You must not promise specific FPS or latency numbers, guaranteed performance, or safety we do not claim ourselves. Do not say ORION is endorsed by, affiliated with, or approved by a game, publisher, anti-cheat vendor or hardware maker. Describe what ORION does in your own honest words - if you would not be comfortable being asked to prove it, do not say it.
- No impersonation. Do not register domains, social handles, apps or store listings containing “ORION Tweaks”, do not present yourself as ORION support, and do not resell, bundle or repackage ORION licences.
- No coupon-site or extension abuse. Do not distribute creator codes through coupon aggregators, browser extensions that inject codes, or cashback services, unless we agree in writing.
- No promotion to under-16s, and no promotion in a context primarily aimed at children.
Where a conversion looks wrong, we flag it and hold it for review rather than paying it out silently. We will tell you what was flagged and give you a chance to explain before a reward is finally withheld, unless the account is being closed for abuse.
6. Payment, thresholds and taxes
- Referral credit is a balance on your ORION account. Redeem it from the refer page or your account page for a discount code you apply to your own next purchase or renewal. It has no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and is not redeemable for money.
- Creator commission accrues into monthly buckets and is paid after the end of each month, once the $50 minimum payout threshold is met and the 30-day hold in section 4 has passed. Balances below the threshold roll forward. Payment is in USD by the method agreed with you, and any transfer fee your provider charges is yours.
- Taxes are yours. Rewards are paid gross. You are responsible for any income, sales, VAT or other tax due on what you receive, and for your own filings. US-based creators must provide a completed W-9 before the first payout; non-US creators must provide the applicable W-8 form. We may withhold payment until we have it, and we issue a 1099-NEC where US law requires one.
- Dormancy. If your account is closed, or you do not respond to a payout request for 12 months, unclaimed referral credit lapses. Earned creator commission does not lapse; contact us and we will pay it.
7. Disclosure - what the FTC requires of you
If you receive anything of value for promoting ORION - commission, account credit, a free or discounted plan, early access, or merchandise - that is a material connection that a reasonable viewer would not expect, and the FTC's Endorsement Guides require you to disclose it. Its rule on consumer reviews and testimonials also prohibits reviews that hide an insider relationship. This is not optional and it is not satisfied by a tag buried in a description.
- Put the disclosure where the recommendation is - in the video and the caption, in the post itself, spoken aloud in a stream, in the first line of the comment - not only in a bio, a linktree, or below a “more” fold.
- Use plain words: “paid partnership with ORION Tweaks”, “I earn a commission if you use my code”, “ORION gave me a free plan”. “#ad” alone is weak; “#sp”, “collab”, “thanks ORION” and an affiliate-link icon are not disclosures.
- Use the platform's own paid-partnership tool in addition to, not instead of, your own words.
- Make it readable: same language as the post, on screen long enough to read, and audible if the content is audio.
- If you leave a review of ORION anywhere, disclose the relationship in the review itself. We will label reviews we know to be incentivised, and we never ask anyone to leave a positive one - see Terms of Service section 17.
- Say only what you honestly believe from your own use. An endorsement has to reflect your real experience.
We monitor this. We review participants' public promotion periodically, and we will ask you to fix a missing or unclear disclosure. Repeated or deliberate failure ends participation and forfeits unpaid rewards. We are responsible for the conduct of people we pay, so this is a term we enforce rather than a suggestion.
8. Using the ORION name and brand
While you are an active participant and following these terms, you may use the ORION Tweaks name, logo and official screenshots to refer to and promote the product truthfully. That permission is non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable, and does not give you any ownership. You may not alter the logo, use it as your own avatar or channel identity, imply endorsement of your other work, use the brand in a domain name, app name or store listing, or use it in any way that suggests you are Orion Tweaks LLC. The permission ends the moment your participation does, and you must stop using the brand within 7 days.
9. Your data, and changes to these terms
What we process for these programs, on what lawful basis and for how long, is set out in the Privacy Policy. Referral statistics show you counts, not the identities of the people who used your link. Creator payout and tax records are kept for 7 years.
We may change these terms, the reward rates, the attribution window, or either program's structure. Material changes take effect at least 30 days after we tell you, at the email address on your account or on this page; rewards already earned before the change are honoured on the old terms. We may suspend or end either program entirely on 30 days' notice, paying out everything properly earned.
10. Ending participation
You may stop at any time - just stop sharing your link or code, and tell us if you want a creator code deactivated. We may end your participation immediately for a breach of these terms, of the Terms of Service, or for fraud. On termination for a reason other than fraud or breach, we pay everything properly earned and unreversed. On termination for fraud or breach, unpaid rewards are forfeited and we may reverse rewards traced to the conduct.
11. General
Rewards are personal to you and cannot be assigned. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits your statutory rights as a consumer of ORION. These terms are governed by the law, and disputes are resolved by the process, set out in Terms of Service section 20, including its 30-day arbitration opt-out. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
12. Contact
Questions about either program, applications to the creator program, payout details, or a reward you think was credited wrongly: support@oriontweaks.com or the support page. A postal address for formal legal notice is provided on request.
