đĨ Installation & Setup
Download ORION Tweaks from your purchase confirmation email or the download page.
Run the installer as Administrator. Windows may show a SmartScreen prompt - click "More info" â "Run anyway" (ORION is code-signed).
On first launch, click "Activate License" and enter your license key from the purchase confirmation email.
Run the Health Scanner to see your system's current state.
Apply a profile or individual tweaks. ORION will snapshot your settings automatically before any change.
⥠Applying Tweaks
ORION offers two ways to apply tweaks:
Profiles - Pre-built collections for specific use cases. "Ultra Competitive" for ranked play, "Creator + Gaming" for streaming, etc. One click applies all relevant tweaks.
Individual tweaks - Browse the full catalog of 89 tweaks. Each shows its evidence level, risk rating, and which games/setups benefit most.
Every apply creates an automatic snapshot. You can revert any individual tweak or the entire session.
âŠī¸ Reverting Changes
Revert individual tweak - Click the tweak in the Applied list and click "Revert".
Restore from snapshot - Go to Snapshots, pick any saved point, click "Restore". ORION reverts all tweaks to that state.
Reset everything - In Settings â Advanced â "Reset all ORION tweaks". This reverts every tweak ORION has ever applied to Windows defaults.
ORION keeps the last 10 snapshots by default. Manual snapshots are kept forever.
đ License & Activation
Where is my key? - Check the email you used to purchase. Subject line: "Your ORION Tweaks License Key".
How to activate - Open ORION â Click "Activate License" â Paste your key â Click Activate. Requires internet for first activation.
Transferring to a new PC - Your Pro license is tied to one device. Join Discord and ask in #license-support to get it reset to your new hardware.
Elite - up to 3 devices - Each device activates automatically. To remove a device from your license, ask in Discord.
đĄī¸ Anti-Cheat Compatibility
ORION is safe with all major anti-cheat systems. Every tweak is tagged with its compatibility status:
Safe - Verified safe with Vanguard, EAC, BattlEye, VAC, and FairFight.
Monitor - Safe but monitor for game-specific issues. ORION will warn you.
ORION never touches game files, memory, or processes. It only modifies Windows system settings - the same settings you can change manually in Windows.
đ No Performance Improvement?
Run the Benchmark Mode to get actual before/after numbers. Perceived improvement can be misleading.
Check the AI Advisor - it may flag that certain tweaks aren't relevant for your specific hardware.
If you're GPU-bound (GPU usage constantly at 100%), CPU tweaks won't help - you're hitting the GPU ceiling.
Make sure your game is running in Exclusive Fullscreen mode, not Borderless Window, to benefit from fullscreen optimizations.

Your key is emailed to you immediately after payment. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for an email with subject "Your ORION Tweaks License Key". If you don't receive it within 5 minutes, contact us on Discord.
All purchases are final. ORION delivers its complete feature set the moment you activate, so we don't offer routine refunds. If you run into a technical problem that stops ORION working on your PC, contact us on Discord and we'll help you resolve it or make it right.
ORION is code-signed with an EV certificate. If Windows Defender flags it, it's a false positive from OrionTweaks.Engine.exe requesting elevation to apply system tweaks. You can verify the signature by right-clicking the executable â Properties â Digital Signatures.
No. Once tweaks are applied, they persist until you revert them. ORION doesn't need to run continuously. The only background process is the optional drift detection that alerts you if Windows Update resets a tweak.
Your license key is generated and emailed automatically the moment your payment processes - typically within seconds. If you don't see it within 5 minutes, check your spam folder or reach out on Discord.
Yes. ORION detects whether your system is a laptop and adjusts recommendations accordingly. Laptop-specific tweaks (battery-aware optimizations, thermal management) are available in the Gaming Laptop profiles. Tweaks that only benefit desktop configurations are automatically hidden on laptop hardware.
