ORION Tweaks is a Windows performance optimization app built for gamers. It applies up to 89 certified system-level tweaks - things like CPU scheduling, memory management, GPU priorities, and network tuning - to squeeze more consistent performance out of your hardware. It's not a driver, not a cheat, and not a bloatware cleaner. It's a precision tuner that changes the same Windows settings you could change manually, but does it correctly, safely, and with one click.
Once tweaks are applied, they persist in Windows - ORION doesn't need to stay open or run in the background. The only optional background component is drift detection, which watches for Windows Update reverting your tweaks and alerts you. You can disable even that if you prefer.
Primarily competitive and enthusiast gamers on Windows 10/11 who want more from their existing hardware without buying upgrades. It's especially valuable if you're playing latency-sensitive games (FPS, battle royale, fighting games) where frame timing consistency matters as much as raw FPS.
Yes. ORION supports Windows 10 (version 1903+) and all Windows 11 releases. Some tweaks are version-specific - the Health Scanner identifies which tweaks are relevant for your exact build and flags anything that doesn't apply.
YouTube guides are often outdated, missing context, or apply settings that conflict with each other. ORION's tweaks are researched, evidence-tagged, and tested against current Windows builds. More importantly, every tweak can be reverted in one click - if a YouTube guide breaks something, you might not even know what changed. ORION gives you a full history and snapshot restore.
Performance
It depends heavily on your system and how well-optimized Windows already is. On systems that haven't been tuned before, users commonly report 10-30% FPS increases and significantly smoother frame pacing. On already-tuned systems, the gains are smaller but frame time consistency almost always improves. Use Benchmark Mode (built into ORION) to measure your actual before/after - we don't believe in made-up numbers.
If your GPU bottleneck is genuine (GPU maxed, CPU has headroom), then CPU and memory tweaks won't add FPS - you're GPU-limited and need a faster GPU or lower settings. ORION's AI Advisor will flag this from your hardware readings and tell you exactly which tweaks are worth applying vs. which won't move the needle for your setup.
Your average FPS tells you the average frame rate. Your 1% low is the performance floor - the worst 1% of frames. A game can average 144 FPS but still feel stuttery if the 1% low is 60 FPS, because your eye perceives those dips as hitches. ORION's tweaks specifically target frame time consistency, which shows up as a higher 1% low and a smoother experience even when average FPS stays similar.
Benchmark Mode uses PresentMon (Microsoft's frame capture tool) to record your actual FPS and frame times during gameplay. You run a benchmark session before applying tweaks, then again after - ORION shows you the comparison side by side: average FPS, 1% lows, 0.1% lows, and frame time graphs. It's objective data, not subjective feel.
The Health Scanner runs a 15-point check of your Windows configuration and scores your system's optimization state. It checks things like power plan settings, network tuning, CPU scheduling, service overhead, and memory config. It shows you exactly what's suboptimal, what ORION can fix, and what might need manual attention (like a BIOS setting).
Some tweaks take effect immediately. Others (particularly kernel-level settings) require a reboot to activate. ORION will tell you which tweaks need a restart and lets you batch-apply everything before rebooting once, rather than restarting multiple times.
Safety & Anti-Cheat
No. ORION modifies Windows system settings only - it never touches game files, injects into game processes, or hooks into memory. Every tweak is tagged with its anti-cheat compatibility status (Vanguard, EAC, BattlEye, VAC). All tweaks in ORION are verified safe. ORION does not interfere with game clients or anti-cheat kernel drivers in any way.
ORION is code-signed with an Extended Validation (EV) certificate. In rare cases, Defender may show a SmartScreen warning because ORION requests elevation (admin rights) to apply system changes - this is expected behavior for any system optimizer. Click "More info" → "Run anyway" to proceed. You can verify the signature yourself: right-click the .exe → Properties → Digital Signatures.
Yes. ORION automatically creates a snapshot before every apply operation. You can revert individual tweaks, restore to any snapshot, or use Settings → Advanced → "Reset all ORION tweaks" to return your entire Windows configuration to the state it was in before ORION touched it. Every change is tracked. Nothing is permanent.
Never. ORION does not touch game files, game configs, or per-game settings. It only modifies Windows-level settings. Your in-game settings, keybinds, and configs are completely untouched.
Yes. ORION's tweaks are targeted at gaming performance - they don't remove features Windows needs for productivity or degrade general system stability. If you want to be cautious, use the "Balanced" profile which applies only low-risk, broadly-safe tweaks. You can always revert with one click if you notice anything you don't like.
License & Billing
Your license key is emailed to you instantly after purchase completes. Check the inbox of the email address you used at checkout. The subject line is "Your ORION Tweaks License Key". If it doesn't appear within 5 minutes, check your spam folder, then contact us on Discord.
All purchases are final. ORION delivers its full value the moment you activate - every tweak, the AI Advisor, Health Scanner, and Benchmark Mode are immediately available - so we don't offer routine refunds. If you hit a technical issue that prevents ORION from running on your system, reach out on Discord and we'll make it right.
Pro gives you the full ORION feature set - all 89 tweaks, AI Advisor, Health Scanner, Benchmark Mode, Hardware Monitor, Network Analyzer, and 20 preset profiles - on 1 device. Elite adds beta channel access, cloud profile sync, community profile publishing, Custom Pack Builder, Health Report exports, Tweak Scheduler, priority Discord support, and covers 3 devices. If you're a power user who wants early features and the ability to build and share custom packs, Elite is for you.
When your subscription ends - or you uninstall ORION - the ORION Engine automatically reverts every tweak it applied and returns Windows to its previous state. Your PC is never left in a modified state you can't control. While you're subscribed, all applied tweaks stay active and you can revert any of them yourself at any time.
Pro licenses are tied to 1 device. If you get a new PC, join our Discord and ask in #license-support - we'll reset the device binding so you can activate on your new machine. Elite licenses support 3 devices simultaneously, so you can move freely between machines up to that limit.
There's no time-limited trial today. ORION is built around measurable results - Benchmark Mode shows you exact before/after FPS, 1% lows, and frame times so you can see the difference on your own hardware. If ORION can't run on your system for a technical reason, contact us on Discord and we'll help.

Technical
Windows 10 (version 1903 or later) or Windows 11. Any modern CPU and GPU. 4 GB RAM minimum (8 GB recommended). Administrator account required. Internet connection required for license activation and updates; after first activation, ORION works offline for up to 7 days between check-ins.
ORION adds one optional lightweight background process (the drift detector) which uses less than 5 MB RAM and negligible CPU. You can disable it entirely. The core app itself only runs when you open it. Tweaks that modify startup behavior are clearly labeled and reversible.
ORION sends only what's needed to function: license validation (your license key and a hardware ID hash for binding), anonymous version telemetry (for update checks), and optional crash reports. Hardware specs are processed locally by the AI Advisor and are not uploaded. We do not sell data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
The AI Advisor reads your hardware configuration (CPU model, GPU model, RAM amount and speed, storage type) locally and scores each tweak's expected impact on your specific setup. It surfaces tweaks most likely to help, warns about tweaks that aren't relevant (e.g., a network tweak when you're on a slow ISP where latency is the bottleneck), and explains the reasoning. All hardware analysis runs on your device - nothing is sent to a cloud AI model.
Extremely unlikely. ORION avoids kernel modifications and only modifies user-accessible Windows settings. We extensively test every tweak before certification. That said, if you apply an aggressive tweak that causes instability, you can boot into Safe Mode and restore from a snapshot or reset ORION's changes. ORION's snapshot system is specifically designed for this scenario.
They're complementary, not competing. Afterburner and similar tools adjust hardware voltage and clock speeds. ORION optimizes the Windows software environment around that hardware - how Windows schedules CPU threads, manages memory, prioritizes processes, and handles network packets. Both can be used together for maximum effect.
