Registry, service, power, network, cleanup, Appx, and BIOS-related operations are submitted to the elevated worker queue. The visible app does not silently mutate Windows state.

ORION is a Windows control surface - it isn't a mystery script launcher. The app explains what it found, what it recommends, what it will change, and how to recover before system-changing work runs.
Backup before apply
Supported persistent changes capture the previous value or an explicit backup artifact before applying. The apply plan shows the backup and revert path.
Read-back verification
Where Windows exposes a reliable state read, ORION checks the resulting value and reports success, mismatch, partial completion, or failure honestly.
Rollback stays visible
Recovery, journals, profile runs, and revert actions remain available after a job. One-shot actions are labeled as proof-producing actions instead of pretending they are permanent toggles.
Security boundaries
ORION does not create Defender exclusions or blindly disable UAC, Secure Boot, TPM, BitLocker protections, or security services. High-risk firmware work remains guarded and technically checked.
Measured results only
Recommendations are not promises. Benchmark results are captured on your hardware and labeled as improvement, no meaningful change, or regression when the evidence supports that conclusion.
What you see before applying
- The exact target and current-to-target values.
- Risk, compatibility, anti-cheat, restart, and sign-out requirements.
- Backup type, revert disclosure, verification plan, and known conflicts.
- The worker stages: precheck, backup, apply, settle, verify, journal, and finish.
What ORION will not do blindly
- Promise the same FPS, latency, or benchmark outcome for every PC.
- Run hidden scripts or turn a recommendation into an unexplained command.
- Flash firmware, change voltages, alter multipliers, or disable core security controls.
- Auto-apply a scheduled profile without the normal preview and confirmation flow.
When something goes wrong
Stop the active job, review the journal, inspect the backup, and use Recovery or Revert. If the worker cannot prove the requested state, ORION reports a blocked or failed result instead of marking the action complete. Support bundles redact tokens, license keys, local paths, IP addresses, and other sensitive values before export.
